Sunset Cloud Inversion

from $36.00

I don’t think I have one favorite photograph I’ve ever taken, but if I had to pick, this one would be up there. It was my first evening hanging out around the Mt. Rainier area, and some buddies and I took a short hike in the national park around sunset. I knew Washington was famous for cloud inversions, but I seriously didn’t imagine a first sunset like this in my wildest dreams. As the sun went down, the clouds rolled in closer and closer, eventually glowing orange as the sun dipped below them. I remember running around barefoot on the rocks and shooting my heart out, just so stoked to be there. We stayed until well after the sun had set and watched the final traces of light leave the blanket of clouds, then absolutely hauled down the trail to chase down the snacks in the car.

All photographs are printed on smooth matte 100% cotton hot press fine art paper, complete with a silky smooth finish. Framing is not included. Aluminum, canvas, and other materials are available upon request, along with other sizes. Your purchase helps support a small business :)
